Ordering Policies

1. Shipping and handling charges are added to your invoice based on percent of invoice.   
2. Customers will be notified of any items not in stock. Due to the extended lead times for our products, items will not be placed on backorder. 
3. A $35 processing charge will be applied to any returned checks.

Shipping & Delivery

1. Typical orders ship via UPS or USPS, but may be sent by other means if appropriate for timely and safe delivery.
2. Most orders ship within 5 days of order acceptance. Special requests may be subject to additional handling charges.
 
3. An additional $25 handling charge will be added to any COD shipments.
Returns & Exchanges

1. If you are unsatisfied with any part of your order you may return it for exchange or refund within the following conditions. 
* Items that are undamaged must be returned within 14 days of customer receipt. Contact Peace by Piece Customer Service to receive an RGA number (Returned goods Authorization) prior to returning any item. An RGA is required in order to receive a refund or exchange. Contact via email: Sales@PeaceFairTrade.com, 
* Refunds will be processed in the same manner as the original payment. 
*To be accepted for refund or credit, items must be returned, undamaged, in the original box and packaging. As many of our items are fragile and subject to damage during shipment, returned items that arrive to us damaged due to insufficient packaging cannot be accepted for credit or refund. 
2. Shipping and handling charges are not refunded or credited, only the original cost of the item(s), unless an item that was not ordered was shipped in error. 
3. Damaged receipts. Please inspect all deliveries for damages upon receipt, especially in cases where package indicates rough handling or possible damage to internal contents. File a notice with the carrier immediately. Returns sent in abused packaging that are damaged will not be credited or exchanged without proper damage claim documentation with the delivery service.

Fair Trade Policies and Programs

As members of the Fair Trade Federation, we honor and practice all policies identified and recommended in our relationships with our artisans and all who are involved with bringing our products to you.  Artisans are paid a 50% minimum deposit at the time our orders are placed in order to provide capital for raw materials and labor costs.  A final payment is made at the time of order completion.  We also work closely with our artisans to access needed raw materials.  We provided training and support for improve business practices and use technology to improve communications and organization in communities where computer and internet cafes are available.  This is an extension of some of the programs we developed as Peace Corps volunteers.  We also have programs involved with tuition support to encourage children to "Dream Big" with regards to their futures and the possibilities available thru advanced education.  We also offer micro lending service to artisans for certain needs.

 

Updating Account Information

Your account can be edited at any time by clicking on the "My Account" link located on the top left of any page.  Your user ID is the email address originally entered when the account was set up.  This email ID can be changed at any time, however, it must remain a valid email address for the organization.  Any other information provided (passwords, addresses, etc.) can also be edited at any time.  Please verify shipping addresses and phone numbers if any changes have been made since your last order.
