Nature Designs (Plants & Birds)
Nature themes represent the most popular of the design styles for our pottery. Peruvian Chulucana pieces are all made with the traditional smoked finish created by firing the pieces with mango leaves. Nicaraguan pieces come from the pottery center of the country in San Juan de Oriente and feature not only unique designs and forms, but their trademark etched and carved surfaces adding depth and texture to their world famous art. Designs include native birds like tucans, parrots, and song birds, as well as beautiful jungle flowers and cashew trees.
All of our pottery is for decorative use only and not recommended to hold water.
